GIRL'S SOFTBALL

Northwest Youth Softball (NWYSB) is a division of Northwest Youth Baseball currently registering for its second spring season.  We are a fastpitch youth softball program for girls 7 to 16 years old. League Age is determined by the age of the player on December 31 of the preceding year.  All divisions are considered competitive.   Therefore, all new players to NWYSB and players moving into a new division are required to try-out.  Also, all players are eligible to be chosen for the All-Star team in their division.

We are busy planning for the Spring 2008 Season. We have grown this spring to eight teams: two Farm teams (ages 7-8), two Mini-Minor teams (ages 9-10), two Minor teams (ages 11-12) and two Major teams (ages 13-16).  Our spring season will include interlocking games against other local youth softball leagues, including Miss Pinellas Park Fastpitch, Fossil Park and Seminole.

Advantages of Playing for Northwest Youth Softball

  • No league boundaries or residency requirements

  • Positive and safe atmosphere for youth – established and enforced Code of Conduct

  • Excellent playing fields and facilities maintained by the City of St. Petersburg

  • Instructional Winter League Program and Regular Spring Season
